I made this recipe once. It is pretty good, but it tastes more like chocolate cake than brownies. But it's handy if you want to make something chocolatey and have no eggs in the house.

No Egg Brownies

2 cups flour
1 cup water
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup granulated sugar
1 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla extract
3/4 cup baking cocoa
1/2 cup oil
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
1/2 cup dried cranberries (optional)

Boil water and 1/2 cup flour over low heat stirring constantly, until it reaches the consistancy of a thin glue paste. Remove from heat and let cool before proceeding.

Mix sugar, salt, vanilla, cocoa and oil in large bowl. Then add the flour/water mixture. Mix well.

Add the remaining 1 1/2 cups flour, baking powder and any of the optional items.

Spread the mix into a greased 11x7 inch pan. Bake 350 F for 25 minutes or until a knife can be inserted and come out cleanly.
